With over 11 years in the F&B industry, Popescu has an immersive understanding of restaurant operations. He joined Atelier House Hospitality as a restaurant General Manager, to open 11 Woodfire in January 2022, (which received a Michelin star this year), and has performed above his responsibilities. Atelier House Hospitality is proud to announce that Alexandru Popescu has been elevated to the position of Director of Operations for the group.
“Alex started with us as a General Manager of 11 Woodfire, but he has shown immense potential to take on more responsibilities. Atelier House Hospitality is all about quality, and we are growing our operations by carefully curating a cohesive team. With Alex taking on this role, the group is stronger than ever” said Panchali Mahendra, President of Atelier House Hospitality.
Popescu comes from a background in core operations and project management. His journey in the industry has been evolved by working with a diverse range of over 30 brands of high-end restaurants, hotels, and F&B consultancy firms. Popescu has developed a high functioning skill in F&B operations and has an extremely hands on approach with this execution.
With this role, Popescu will be responsible for the operations and asset management of Atelier House Hospitality’s restaurants across GCC and Southeast Asia, by establishing brand SOPs, strategy and execution of F&B master plans, and developing performance management programs. Alexandru consistently adopts a focused approach to maximize EBITDA for the assets he is managing.
Speaking of his new role Alex said: “I am on a mission to bring a 360 degree – “tornado” approach on getting things done in synergy with stakeholders and aligning our shareholder’s vision in order to asset-manage and provide advisory for world-class concepts.”
