Over the past six months, Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel has refreshed its leadership team, appointing six new members to implement and drive their new strategy in repositioning the hotel as a luxury business and leisure haven. The new appointments include Akram Al Ameer, General Manager; Rahil Khan, Director of Sales & Marketing; Nicola Mandolini, Operations Manager; Federico Villoni, Executive Chef; Bernhard Kolsch, Director of People & Culture; and Ali Jani, Marketing & Communications Manager.
General Manager Akram Al Ameer has a hands-on approach when it comes to his work. He has over 28 years of experience and has led teams at renowned hospitality chains including Jumeirah Group and Accor. He has an impressive resume, showcasing his success in achieving financial goals, driving team engagement, and delivering luxury experiences and high guest satisfaction.
Director of Sales & Marketing, Rahil Khan’s 17 years of hospitality experience, including 12 years as a commercial leader in 4 different Ritz-Carlton properties across the GCC, and exemplary industry knowledge equips him well for managing the task of repositioning the city hotel into an urban resort.
Operations Manager, Nicola Mandolini’s extensive hospitality experience will be instrumental to the hotel’s repositioning. The MBA alumni from the prestigious EHL Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne is an expert in identifying operational performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implementing improvement measures.
Executive Chef Federico Villoni is bringing his vast expertise and signature style that honed over 20 years of culinary excellence working across the Middle East and Europe in Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants.
Bernhard Kolsch, Director of People & Culture joins Anantara Eastern Mangroves from Four Seasons Resort Seychelles & Four Seasons Resort at Desroches Island. With his 19 years’ experience in hospitality and an MSC from the University of Liverpool, Bernhard mission is to ensure the sustainable growth and fulfilment of the hotel’s human capital.
Ali Jani, Marketing & Communications Manager, is the former Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager at Anantara Al Jabal and Al Akhdar Resort in Oman, where he was shortlisted for Hotelier Middle East’s Marketing & PR Person of the Year Award 2019. His passion for the brand and his career goals align perfectly to implement the shift in messaging for Anantara Eastern Mangroves.
