No stranger to luxury hospitality, Richard joins Cove Beach directly from Nammos, where he oversaw operations in Dubai and Mykonos, as well as the opening of the brand’s first franchise in Cyprus. Prior to that, natural born leader Richard quickly worked his way to senior management roles during his tenure with Nikki Beach, in both his hometown of Marbella, and Dubai.
In his new remit with Cove Beach, Richard will be responsible for 160+ staff, overseeing operations that welcome 20,000 residents and tourists each month.
Commenting on his new position, Richard said, “Cove Beach is a much-loved lifestyle destination that’s about to enter a new chapter. Our guests can continue to enjoy the brand as they know it but will be surprised and impressed by what’s to come.”
Adel Ghazzawi, co-owner, Cove Beach said, “Richard is a young and dynamic leader whose fresh outlook and passion will help take Cove Beach to the next level. He’s brimming with ideas and committed to the highest of standards – we’re eager to watch what he’ll bring to the brand.”
Born and raised in Spain, multi-lingual Richard studied in one of the top hospitality management schools in the Netherlands before moving to UAE in 2016 with St Regis. Richard’s keen interest in hospitality on a global scale then took him to Philippines and Europe, before settling in the UAE.
