The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi has announced the appointment of Bhavesh Rawal as director of off-site business development, a position dedicated to overseeing the hotel’s new outside catering division in Dubai.
A well-known hospitality leader and expert in the field, Rawal has led catering divisions for some of the UAE’s largest concerts and events. He joins The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi from JW Marriott Dubai where he was employed as executive assistant manager (EAM) food & beverage.
Rawal began his career in 1999 as chef de partie at Burj Al Arab. In addition to this and six years with JW Marriott Dubai, his 19-year career has seen him work his way up the ladder with top brands in the region including the Grand Hyatt and Madinat Jumeirah.
Rawal said: “I am excited to take on this new role and to be joining such a forward-thinking and growing brand to launch an exciting new project.
“We are in an excellent position to capitalise on growth opportunities in the catering division in Dubai. This will be one of the biggest projects I have taken over in my career thus far and I’m excited to see it grow and become a part of catering history in Dubai.”
