Kempinski Hotel Ajman has appointed Christian Ruge as its new general manager.
Ruge has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry having begun his career with InterContinental Frankfurt in his native Germany.
This was followed by a number of leadership positions in revenue, front office and executive office operations in both Germany and New York.
He joined Sofitel in 2004 working in Germany, Poland and Egypt in various general manager positions.

He took up a position as hotel manager for Kempinski Hotel Airport in Munich in 2012 and his most recent position was as general manager for Kempinski Hotel Taiyuan.
Ruge said: “I am honoured to be a part of and to support this fantastic team with hoteliers of over 50 different nationalities, where everyone is bringing in the best of their culture and I am thrilled to be working in this interesting, fast-developing environment in the Middle East and to witness the continuous success and achievements of the very first Kempinski hotel in the Middle East region.”
The Kempinski Hotel, Ajman, which Ruge which be the general manager of, has 182 rooms as well as a private 500m white beach.
There are also 12 F&B outlets at the hotel.
