The new Business Bay site will host eight super kitchens, bringing 19 new restaurant brands to customers.
This national roll-out of Deliveroo’s innovative Editions service comes nine months after the company opened its first site in Dubai, located in JLT, and demonstrates the company’s continued expansion in the market.
The 3,837 square foot site located in Business Bay, will host eight super kitchens, comprising of seven individual units and a shared kitchen area, bringing 19 restaurant brands and new concepts to customers in Dubai. The site will operate 9am-12am, seven days a week.
Covering an array of cuisines, including Greek, Vietnamese, Hawaiian, Arabic and French, the super kitchens will host brands such as Wagamama, Couqley, BarSalata and Wild and the Moon, in addition to new concepts such as Hippy Deli, Hoku Poke and Go! Greek.
By being in Deliveroo’s delivery-only super kitchens, restaurants are able to expand without needing a physical presence in the area, enabling partners to reach new customers at a lower cost. Restaurants use their own chefs, just as they do in their bricks and mortar restaurants but are able to bring the same restaurant-quality dishes to more people in new areas with Editions.
Anis Harb, general manager, Deliveroo GCC, comments: “We’re excited to launch our second site of delivery-only kitchens in Dubai, bringing more selection to Deliveroo customers in Business Bay. These new super kitchens include a mix of some familiar highstreet restaurant brands and some exciting new concepts. Deliveroo’s focus is always to create the best food delivery experience for customers and restaurants alike. Through Deliveroo Editions, we give restaurants the tools to expand quickly, reaching new customers and increasing their revenues.”
Tuana Nilufer Feray, marketing manager of Wild & the Moon said: “Deliveroo Editions is a great opportunity. It has helped us to reach delivery areas that we couldn’t otherwise. Today thanks to our Deliveroo Editions, we are covering areas like JBR, Dubai Marina, Tecom Bay Square & Executive towers. The idea is brilliant as it takes out the stress of some kitchen liabilities, making our job easier while respecting our qualitative criteria. By reaching areas Wild and The Moon can’t reach today, we have the pleasure of serving clients with fast and fresh healthy food, delivered as smooth as possible. Sadly, for now, we are only enjoying one chiller on their premises, but looking forward to offering all of our products, like frozen bowls and smoothies.
“It takes, of course, some time to organize, like any well-established business, but that is a small price to pay to get to all corners of Dubai without any troubles.”
