Speaking with Catering News Middle East, Mickael Taillier from The Fine Cheese Co. said the market for handmade cheese has been growing.
“We represent all the small cheese makers in England who make partisan cheese with their own hands from the recipe. It is very important for us to be present and be able to showcase true artisan cheese from England at Gulfood.
“Demand for our product in the market has been growing for a few years now as we deal with the food service sector, chefs and restaurants in Dubai. With all the new openings the demand is constantly increasing,” he added.
The company was displaying the new flavour of their cheddar cheese at the exhibition last week, “We have new flavours made with goat milk and last year we launched two new flavours made from sheep and ox so now we have four different types of milk to have something different in the market than the cheese you already see,” Taillier explained.
