Today marks the opening of Bistro Des Arts, a traditional French Bistro and the first licensed eatery on the Dubai Marina Promenade.
The concept of Julien Pilard and Jonathan Vercoutere, who are passionate about French “terroir” cuisine and authentic family recipes, Bistro Des Arts has been designed to bring the pleasure of French food and drink to the local community.
Seated under a vibrant red French awning, the terrace is a picturesque spot for friends to enjoy un petit peu of Parisian indulgence, at the first licensed eatery on the Dubai Marina Promenade.
With a commitment to outstanding quality, the venue will be serving only the finest ingredients and seasonal produce sourced from French regions. The bistrotier is part of The Address Hotel and consists of a covered outdoor terrace, a cosy bar, indoor dining area and a social table. The venue has been designed to replicate the chic and délicieux interiors of a 1970’s French neighbourhood Bistro.
Guests are invited to enjoy ‘A Grignoter’ literally translated as nibbles, the perfect complement to an extensive grape list much of which is available by the glass.
A weekly menu with daily rotating specials, referred to as the Plats Du Jour Menu is offered as well as an in house fish counter and raw bar showcasing the freshest daily catches. Bistro Des Arts is the result of a strategic alliance with Gates Hospitality, the hospitality company behind venues such as Reform Social & Grill and Ultra Brasserie.
Of the opening Julien Pilard, Co-Founder and Patron, commented: “I have been a resident of Dubai for a number of years and feel that there is a major gap in the market for this type of concept.’’
Adding to this Jonathan Vercoutere, Co-Founder and Patron, said: “Bistro Des Arts is a product of years of work and research. We are excited to recreate the old-fashioned French bistro experience in such a key location on Marina Promenade.”
