Chef Giovanni Pintore has joined JBR’s iconic Frankie’s Italian Bar & Grill as its new Head Chef.
Chef Pintore was most recently running the kitchen at Cavalli Café and before that was Sous Chef De Cuisine at the signature Cavalli Club Restaurant & Lounge. His pedigree also includes working at El Celler de Can Roca – the three Michelin star restaurant in Girona, Spain, that is consistently named the best restaurant in the world.
At Frankie’s, Chef Pintore has the opportunity to blend his traditional Sardinian roots with the techniques and tastes learnt under some of the world’s top chefs, and build on the original Marco Pierre White designed menu to add his personal touch and expertise to the Frankie’s dining experience.
Under management of RMAL Hospitality, the restaurant opened eight-years ago in Al Fattan Towers on Jumeirah Walk, JBR.
“Frankie’s has a reputation for offering one of the best Italian dining experiences in Dubai and it was important for us to uphold this reputation by hiring the right chef to take over and run our kitchen,” says RMAL Hospitality COO Toufic Khattar. “Giovanni has an achieved a lot already in his career and his food is nothing short of exquisite.”
Chef Pintore adds that even when far away from home, his vision is to maintain the flavours of his motherland by adding techniques and senses developed and honed around the world.
Chef Pintore’s appointment follows a fresh facelift and refurbishment at Frankie’s and the launch of several new initiatives and events including Frankie’s Comedy Cellar, Aperitivo Italiano – La Dolce Vita, and Frankie’s Ladies Night.
