Tub of Butter, a newly developed fine foods concept with a retail element has opened on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road.
Serving breakfast lunch and dinner, the deli counters offers pastries, desserts, Italian cold cuts, olives, jams, Mediterranean cheeses, roast chicken and pizza.
Tala Khamis, managing partner, Tub of Butter said: “It’s been my dream to open a homegrown concept since I moved to the UAE two years ago, and my influence for the Mediterranean menu came from my visit to Greece.
“Tub of Butter is the perfect place for a relaxing coffee morning, lunch with the kids, or a quiet dinner. There is so much to see and explore as soon as you enter the restaurant.”
Some of the options on the breakfast menu, available from 7am to 11.30am on weekdays and 7am – 2.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, are fruit, eggs benedict and crushed avocado with chilli chia seeds and lime on toasted sourdough bread.
Signature a la carte dishes include pizza with smoked turkey, kalamata, passata, mozzarella, artichoke and ruccola; mozzarella, ruccola and basil pasta salad infused with olive oil; and for dessert, loukoumades (fried dough balls), coated in a warm sugared syrup.
The retail space offers a selection of artisanal products from around the world, such as Japanese tea blends, dried pasta, 23 carat gold truffle honey, diamond salt from Pakistan and Madagascan pepper. Customised gift hampers are available
The interiors feature modern artwork, wooden storage boxes stacked to the ceiling, glass lights and booth seating.
Tub of Butter is open daily from 7am – 11pm. The restaurant is child friendly equipped with high chairs and a kid’s play area.
