Nakheel’s AED150 million Boardwalk at Palm Jumeirah, set to open in November, will feature 20 food trucks.
Covering the entire 11km length of Palm Jumeirah’s protective crescent, the boardwalk is accessible from 14 points along the existing sidewalk.
A variety of food trucks will serve everything from fish and chips to falafels, spaghetti, and shawarmas.
A Nakheel spokesman said: “The Boardwalk has transformed Palm Jumeirah’s crescent into a vibrant destination for fitness, leisure, shopping and dining, and is the perfect spot for cycling, jogging or a relaxed waterfront stroll. Our food trucks are the first component of this new attraction, which will be a big draw for residents and tourists on the island, and for the wider Dubai community.”
The Boardwalk has been created by building over the rocks of the island’s breakwater, and at six metres is more than double the width of the original crescent path.
