Abu Dhabi-based home-grown caterer Royal Catering is expanding its 82L8 (Eight to Late) concept with new in-house corporate dining outlets.
On weekdays, the outlets serve a buffet for breakfast and lunch, including a Sunday Special, at selected offices including ADNOC HQ, AECOM, Injazat and Department of Transport.
Jean Pierre Garat, chief operations officer, Royal Catering, said: “Royal Catering prides itself on quality and our 82L8 brand provides consistently high-quality, fresh, and nutritious meals for business people in offices across the UAE.
“Our turnkey solution offers companies the opportunity to ensure staff have restaurant-quality dining in-house, whether in town or out in the field.”
82L8 Grab & Go items are also available at Liwa Café and other retail outlets, with more restaurants opening over the coming months.
Buffet and ‘Grab & Go’ items include pasta, salads, sandwiches, snacks, juices and desserts.
The brand’s items are also available in vending machines at various locations, including ADNOC HQ, and in trolley recharge stations in offices across the capital, including ADWEA and Zonescorp.
The concept is aimed at companies located outside of town centres and business districts, with a fully branded and fitted outlet, chefs, kitchen and waiting staff and daily catering.
The 82L8 menu was developed last January, and uses a traffic light labelling system developed by the Food Standards Agency in the UK, to display nutritional information on its products.
The food brand is also one of the first in the UAE to offer WEQAYA-compliant foods – an intervention programme developed by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) to increase public awareness of the connection between health and food.
All 82L8 menu items are prepared in Royal Catering’s commercial kitchens – some of the largest in the UAE.
Operating 24/7 year-round, on-site quality control officers are present during every phase of the food production process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Established in 2003, Royal Catering employs more than 2,000 staff and provides catering solutions across its three main divisions: Contractual, Commercial and Creations.
Following the take-over of Royal Catering by BRS Ventures in 2015, owner and operators of New Medical Centre hospitals (NMC), Royal Catering looks to develop its operations in Dubai and across the GCC.
Through its Creations division, Royal Catering has developed restaurant concepts in Abu Dhabi.
The company currently owns and operates signature restaurant Catch at the St. Regis Corniche, Café D’Alsace in Yas Island Marina, Nova Café, Rosina Bellina and Rozanah in Yas Marina and Ruwais.
