Catering News Middle East is delighted to unveil its line-up of speakers for the Big F&B Forum 2017 – which is taking place in a week’s time at the The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina (Monday, 30 October).
The event kicks off with an expert session on what Expo2020 is doing to support the F&B industry in the region. Darren Tse, head of catering, cleaning and waste, Expo 2020 will be on hand to break down just exactly how the eagerly awaited event could transform the sector.
Following that we have another expert session on disruption in the region’s F&B industry brought to you by KPMG’s partner and head of retail, Anurag Bajpai.
That’s followed closely by our first panel discussion of the day – Stand and Deliver -which will see a number of the region’s leading F&B experts discussing on the opportunities that delivery offers.
In this panel you will hear from Danielle Salam, founder, The Salad Jar; Kutlu Kaan Haliloglu, managing director, Talabat; Mahmoud Harb, director of operations, Cravia; Najib Yaacoub, operations manager, The Noodle House and Sajan Alex, vice president – Tablez Food Company, restaurant division, LuLu Group.
You won’t have long to wait until the next panel then as it’s straight into Necessity is the Mother of Innovation – in which you will hear from Sarah-Jane Grant, director, LXA; Naim Maadad, chief executive, Gates Hospitality; Ryan Hattingh, partner, Atelier EPG; Farah Sawaf, owner, Soul Communications; Markus Thesleff, founder, Whissle Group and Vikrant Rohatgi, Head of Strategic and Commercial Intelligence, KPMG.
Guilherme Aires Pinho, director client services, TMF Group, is next on the stage when he talks us through the implications that the introduction of VAT will have on the industry.
We will also have a demonstration of three new cream products by European cream manufacturer, Debic, before breaking for coffee.
It’s straight back into another panel discussion in which our experts will look at issues like how the UAE compares to other regions in terms of service. Last but certainly by no means least, is a VIP interview with Natasha Sideris, founder and managing executive of Tashas. Natasha opened her first restaurant in the Middle East in 2017 with local partners and sees huge opportunities for growth and success in the region.
