Commercial foodservice equipment manufacturer Alto-Shaam has achieved the highest level of ISO 9001 standards, ISO 9001:2015.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard that demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
An initiative, led by Alto-Shaam quality engineer/QMS manager, Nick Wagner to enhance Alto-Shaam’s processes began two years ago with the introduction of a quality management system (QMS).
The company received confirmation from an independent auditor on 2 August of its compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, the highest level of ISO 9001 standards.
The certification was a strategic objective for Alto-Shaam, which has doubled its businesses in the past five years.
Steve Maahs, president of Alto-Shaam commented: “This is just the beginning. We will continuously improve as we strive toward the highest quality products and services for our customers. This tool helps us conduct best practices as we listen to our customers’ needs.”
Alto-Shaam’s corporate headquarters, worldwide manufacturing facility, Culinary Institute and Technical Institute are based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
