Chris Jones has taken over as managing director of commercial catering manufacturer, Lincat, following the departure of Nick McDonald earlier this month.
Jones joined Lincat in 2010 as regional sales manager and was promoted to director of distributor sales in 2016.
Commenting on his promotion, he said: “It’s an honour to be at the helm of this great company. I thank Nick for everything he has done for Lincat. My aim is to continue to grow sales and profits through a combination of new product development, expansion of markets and increase in market share.”
Najib Maalouf, European managing director of Middleby Corporation, Lincat’s parent company, added: “I am pleased with Lincat’s performance since its acquisition in 2011, and I thank Nick for his leadership over the last three years. Middleby continues to invest in Lincat and looks forward to seeing it reach new heights with Chris in whom I have great confidence.”
Under the supervision of McDonald, Lincat’s turnover increased and its product range expanded from 250 items to more than 600.
He had an instrumental role in the launch of new product ranges including the heavy-duty Opus 800 range and the new series of FilterFlow automatic fill water boilers.
McDonald commented: “with the success of the recently introduced products and programmes, I feel the company is doing well and the groundwork is laid for a great future. I thank my colleagues for their support and wish Chris every success.”
Based in Lincoln in the UK, Lincat manufactures products for cooking, holding and food display, which are supplied to commercial kitchens across the globe.
In addition to Opus 800, Lincat’s brands include: Opus Combi Steamers, Silverlink 600, Lynx 400, FriFri, FilterFlow, Panther and Seal.
Products are sold in the UK and in over 50 countries worldwide through a comprehensive network of distributors. Lincat Ltd is a member company of the Middleby Corporation.
