Chef Izu Ani, previous head chef of Dubai’s La Serre Bistro & Boulangerie and La Petite Maison has unveiled plans for new restaurants in Dubai and Doha.
IZU, a modern Mediterranean-inspired concept with a bakery element is set to open this year in Mandarin Oriental, Doha, and IZU Brasserie will launch next month on Dubai’s City Walk, Catering News has learned.
A modern Mediterranean-inspired concept set across two levels, IZU at Mandarin Oriental, Doha, features an outdoor terrace and secret bar.
The 121-pax ground floor is a Parisian-style bakery and café, while the upper mezzanine level offers a more refined, intimate dining experience and seats 89.
The hotel is located at Barahat Msheireb with a panoramic view of the square and the world’s first climate controlled open-air piazza.
IZU in City Walk, Dubai is located in Le BHV Marais, and features an 88-seat Italian-style brasserie with a kitchen counter and terrace, and a 98-pax bakery serving breakfast and freshly baked bread and viennoiserie.
Ani is also working on major projects in London, Madrid and Vienna with his agency YSeventy7, which he launched in December.
Earlier this year he opened concept store, The Lighthouse, in Dubai Design District (D3), which features a curated selection of design and food.
YSeventy7 creates F&B concepts from start to finish, optimises existing operations and offers PR and marketing services.
