Since bursting on to Dubai’s culinary scene last month and successfully bringing some artistic flair and modern flavours to Turkish cuisine in the city, Hayal – Flavours of Istanbul at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai is continuing its launch with a bang, by adding The Big Turkish Breakfast to its weekend offerings.
Experience the exquisite Big Turkish Breakfast every Saturday and Sunday from the 3rd of December, 8 am to 4 pm, and enjoy the flavours of Hayal like you have never before. The one rule for a Turkish breakfast – arrive hungry as it promises to be a treat for the senses and the perfect way to start the day. From the ample menu offerings to the captivating, quirky art pieces lining the walls (and even the toilets), it is sure to be a conversation starter at the table.
The Hayal Big Turkish Breakfast offers a selection of Hayal’s favourite dishes and comes an insta-worthy spread! The Hayal breakfast for two allows you to sample Hayal’s breakfast favourites. The menu includes; a choice of eggs, menemen (a traditional Turkish dish which includes eggs, tomato, green peppers, and spices); sucuk (spicy sausage); babaganoush (a roasted eggplant dip with olive oil, lemon juice, various seasonings, and tahini); muhammara (a spicy dip made of walnuts, red bell peppers, pomegranate molasses, and breadcrumbs); Nutella, tahina-pomegranate molasses; fruit jam, bal kaymak with honey; 3 kinds of cheeses, dried fruits; mix olives; söğüş (a well-known Turkish street food) alongside an assorted breadbasket (AED198).
Alternatively, feast your way through the al a carte menu, starting with fresh bakery goods such as; Gozleme (Turkish flatbread stuffed with cheese and potato) (AED45) or Borek (filo pastry stuffed with glorious cheese) (AED45). Move on to eggs, a key component to any breakfast date – Hayal offers guests the chance to choose from 7 ways to have their eggs served from; Menemen (pan fried tomato, onion, green peppers with egg) (AED40); çilbir (poached eggs with spiced yoghurt, garlic chips and peppers) (AED45). No Turkish breakfast is complete without the mention of mezze, with hot and cold options including; Mutabbal; Hummus (regular or with meat), Fried Sucuk and Halloumi; and marinated olives, to name a few.
Guests can also upgrade their experience with 2 hours of unlimited house beverages for AED200.
Ensure to treat yourself to this Turkish breakfast extravaganza – after all, it is the most important meal of the day! As the name Hayal comes from the Turkish word for “daydream” – and we couldn’t imagine a ‘dreamier’ way of spending a weekend than with a feast at Hayal – Flavours of Istanbul.
