Portuguese quick-service restaurant Veri Peri has opened its doors in the UAE at Copthorne Hotel in Deira, Dubai.
Originally launched in the United Kingdom in 2013, the brand debuted in the Middle East with a venue in Saudi Arabia before expanding to the UAE.
Fahad Abdullah, head of marketing at Veri Peri said: “It has been a while in the making, but we are thrilled to open our doors and bring the first Veri Peri to the UAE.
“We are confident that our offering will suit a variety of taste buds in Dubai, and that we can add some spice to the culinary scene. As a casual and family-friendly restaurant, we offer an extensive menu with an authentic Portuguese culinary experience that will leave everyone ‘Perified’ and coming back for more.”
All produce is prepared fresh and sourced locally, and the menu features the traditional chicken and beef espetadas, Veri Peri sizzling steak and Cataplana salads in addition to soups, burgers, wraps, and pastas.
Veri Peri also has a number of vegetarian options, including a vegetarian espetada made with grilled halloumi cheese, sautéed tomatoes and green peppers.
Signature ‘quenchers’ include sparkling lemon juice, orange juice, lemon mint, the Arabian cocktail, Sunshine mocktail and the ‘Bumble Bee’.
Veri Peri has also created a range of Veri Peri sauces including spicy, flaming hot, garlic, lemon and herb and lime and coriander.
The restaurant operates from 12pm to 12am daily, with dine-in, take-away and delivery options available. A second UAE branch will open in Motor City in May 2017.
