Huib Hendrix has been appointed as the new director of F&B of Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach.
In his role, Hendrix will provide strategic leadership and execution for the hotel’s food and beverage concepts, which include Fogueira Restaurant, Speakeasy Bar and Restaurant, Sama Lounge, The Lounge and the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Shores Restaurant.
Huib earned a Bachelor degree in International Hospitality Management from Stenden University, Netherlands in 2009.
The Dutch national began his career in China as F&B management trainee as part of the pre-opening team of Aloft and Fourpoints by Sheraton, Beijing Haidian.
He went on to be part of the opening team of Aloft Abu Dhabi, the first property under the brand for the EAME division before moving to Dubai as F&B manager of Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates in 2013.
Most recently he was F&B manager of Dubai Marina Yacht Club, Emaar Hospitality Group for two years during which he managed three F&B outlets, three meeting and conference venues, a charter yacht and outside catering.
