Over the past year, Maya Ziadeh has accelerated the growth of Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy (PME) portfolio across the Middle East, Africa and Türkiye. Under her leadership, the division has doubled its regional growth trajectory, driven by strong partnerships, strategic conversions and the introduction of brands like Tribe and the Handwritten Collection, both resonating with modern travellers and adaptable markets. A key milestone includes the 999-key ICD cluster in Dubai, part of the Deira Enrichment Program, meeting the UAE’s growing demand for quality midscale and economy stays.
Maya’s PME strategy has delivered an 80% increase in signings in Türkiye and a 125% uplift across the Middle East and Africa. She attributes this momentum to a capable, empowered team strengthening regional expertise in key markets.
Beyond development, Maya is a vocal advocate for gender equity in hospitality. As co-sponsor of Accor’s Women in Development and Women in Hospitality programmes, including the #SHeLeadsKSA initiative, she champions female leadership in Saudi Arabia through mentorship and upskilling. “Real change happens when we move beyond conversation and take meaningful action,” she says.
Regarded as a hospitality heavyweight, Maya combines commercial foresight with purpose-driven leadership, shaping the future of the industry in some of MEA’s most dynamic markets.
