Hilton is made a significant contribution to Saudi Environmental Week with a series of activities across its portfolio of hotels that aim to build awareness of this important eco initiative.
From March 20 to 27, Team Members from Hilton’s 16 hotels across Saudi Arabia are participating in clean-up drives of local parks, playgrounds and picnic areas. Ibrahim bin Saidan Park in Riyadh, Jabal al-Rahma, and Madinah National Park are just few of the open spaces that will receive a spring clean, with the waste being disposed of in collaboration with local authorities.
This eco drive ties in with Hilton’s Travel with Purpose 2030 Goals to cut its environmental footprint in half. Hilton’s commitment to implementing environmentally sustainable practices within its operations is a longstanding one. In 2009, Hilton launched the now-award-wining Hilton LightStay – a platform that measures, reports and improves the company’s environmental impact across its portfolio of hotels. Moreover, in 2021, Hilton has partnered with social enterprise South Pole to offset the carbon footprint of meetings and events across many of its hotels including the Saudi market.
