Anantara Eastern Mangroves wraps up an exciting roster of PINKtober initiatives with its inaugural Ladies Wellness Event, held on Wednesday 20 October. The celeb-studded evening, organised by the hotel to raise funds and awareness for local breast cancer initiatives, brought Abu Dhabi VIPs out in their glittering best.
Last Wednesday evening, the PINKtober Ladies Wellness Event saw prominent female figures from Abu Dhabi rally in support of breast cancer research, treatment, and education. Hosted by Star FM radio presenter Rania Younes, the night featured dazzling live entertainment, raffle draws, health workshops and lectures, and motivational addresses to help empower women to take control of their own health and wellness journeys.
A highlight of the event was an inspirational and intimate panel discussion with three breast cancer survivors who each detailed their own personal struggles and survivorship stories. Some of the city’s top influencers were in attendance, including Ines Noor, Azza Al Mughairy, Morouj Ibrahim, in addition to sponsor representatives from Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi – Ali and Sons LLC, Bath and Body Works, Mediclinic, Zomato, and more.
“Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi – Ali and Sons LLC is privileged to be supporting this event which raises awareness about such an important topic. October is a great month that reminds us all how important it is to always put our health first,” said Brand Manager Darren Mark Abel.
At the end of the evening, attendees were invited to bid in a fundraising auction on four limited-edition items: an original painting by fine artist Zina Al Jabri, an evening dress from Green Birds Boutiques, a one-off crochet bag by SAFAA, and a hand-embroidered abaya from Neven Elkady.
The auction raised a total of AED 6,000, donated to the Al Jalila Foundation in support of its various breast cancer programmes.
“We at Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel felt incredibly fortunate and privileged to be able to put this event together to shed light on a disease that impacts all of us. It was a phenomenal experience to see incredible women unite under one goal — to end breast cancer,” said the Marketing and PR Manager Ghaida Arabi.
