Anantara Hotels, Resort and Spa has announced it will open a resort in Zanzibar in 2020.
Zanzibar Amber Resort will occupy more than 1,000 hectares in the north east of Zanzibar and will feature 100 guest rooms and 50 one and two bedroom pool villas.

Anantara currently has 37 hotels and resorts in 12 countries, the two latest additions being Sri Lanka and Oman.
Leisure facilities at the location will include a luxury spa and wellness centre, a gym, a kid’s club and a teen’s club, in addition to three restaurants and bars.
