Daniel Kaan has been announced as the new general manager of Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
Kaan joins from Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain where he held the position of general manager since 2014.
“I am delighted to be back after 12 years to Dubai, a pivotal business centre and impressive leisure destination, it is amazing to see how the city has grown and matured in such a short period of time,” he said.
“Our hotel in JLT has a great reputation and a fantastic location; it is known to provide a casual, relaxing experience, which really fits this part of town. I am sure with the great team in place we will be able to develop this even further.”
Kaan joined Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts at Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam in 2010, having served as the director of food and beverage before being promoted to hotel manager.
His early areas of expertise encompassed leadership roles in food and beverage as well as conference service within the InterContinental Hotels Group in Dubai, Nairobi and Shenzhen, and with the Grand Hyatt in Beijing.
A Dutch national, Kaan attended Stenden University in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands and the Southern Cross University, Coffs Harbor, Australia where he earned a bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management.
