1762 Deli will launch a new food truck using an old-fashioned London bus and a Meadow Creek Smoker to create charred items.
The 1966 London Route Master double-decker bus called ‘Monty’ after the Earl of Sandwich John Montague, has been refurbished and transported to the Middle East.
Suzi Croft, co-founder of 1762 said: “We feel Monty is a perfect centerpiece for catering weddings, corporate days, sporting events and private parties. It is fully equipped so we can be extremely versatile with our menu.”
1762 Smoked will feature menu items such as falafel crusted calamari with mango aioli, slow-cooked Asian beef ribs and truffle mash, Mediterranean salmon in a bag, and Jamaican jerk chicken.
Also featured are pineapple papaya salsa and herbed couscous, smoky chargrilled corn with jalapeno lime butter, parmesan truffle fries, 1762 pommes frites with salted caramel sauce and 1762 churro s’mores.
1762 Smoked is available for private hire, special events or urban markets.
