Fairmont Dubai has turned its hotel lobby into a scene right out of a Middle Eastern fairy tale.
Featuring a gigantic flying carpet in the middle of the lobby, the centerpiece is also accompanied by an extravagant art exhibition, in collaboration with a contemporary crystal artist, Natalie Dagestani.
“It took the hotel’s housekeeping and engineering teams two weeks to complete the installation of this 70 kg carpet that upholds as well a colourful selection of 150 Arabic lanterns,” said a spokesperson.
“The carpet is 4 m long, 2 m wide and is flying at an altitude of 4.5 m under the hotel’s soaring atrium.”
