Top representatives and industry leaders from the world’s most influential concierges came together as the 63rd Les Clefs d’Or UICH International Congress 2016 kicked off at the Armani Hotel Dubai.
Supported by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), the 63rd edition of the Congress takes place until April 15 at the JW Marriott Marquis, with “The Future is Here” as its overriding theme. Dubai Tourism is also set to announce the winner of the hotly-contested ‘UAE Concierge of the Year’ Award at the event’s Closing CeremonUAy Gala on April 15.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ibrahim Yaqoot, executive director – corporate support division, Dubai Tourism, said: “Dubai holds great esteem for good hospitality, which is reflected in the high standards of service across our hotels. We are proud to host these accomplished concierge professionals who have chosen Dubai to take forward key discussions for the concierge industry this week. We look forward to both creating a memorable visit for our guests at the event as well as taking them across the city to experience what makes Dubai a must-visit tourist destination.”

The 5-day event is set to see its guests take part in a series of educational sessions, discussions and networking opportunities. Along with the UAE Concierge of the Year award, a rising star in the Les Clefs D’or global network will also be awarded with the prestigious Andy Pongco Award at the event’s Closing Ceremony Gala at Atlantis, The Palm.
