Gavin Dodd, the company’s managing director tells Hotel News ME about the company’s new Uniforms by Ronai and the reasons behind his continued support of BNC Publishing events.
Can you provide a little background information on A. Ronai?
Established in the UK in 1947 with expansion in the UAE from 2006 A. Ronai LLC is the Middle East distributor of some of the world’s most prestigious brands in Hospitality: Steelite International, Oneida, F. Dick Chef’s Knives, Genware, Bonzer, Glass & Co, Burco and other well-known trademarks
More recent developments include the expansion of our own uniform brand. Created by our in-house designer and manufactured in the UAE our new “Uniforms by Ronai” catalogue features a host of bespoke garments. The collections are suitable for use in various job functions as well as the hospitality and aviation industries and they are proving extremely popular throughout the region
Why is it important for you to be a sponsor at this year’s Executive Housekeepers Conference?
As a loyal ambassador to BNC Publishing events A. Ronai are extremely happy to support the conference for this year. We very much believe in supporting the great industry that we are a part of and events as professional as these are a great way of achieving our aim. With the expected increase in properties as well as the number of visitors to Dubai in the coming years it’s important for all related companies to stay ahead of the game, building and retaining crucial relationships with hospitality industry professionals.
How will you add to the Conference with your sponsorship?
By showcasing a range of portfolio items suitable for all housekeepers and their busy schedules we hope to engage the delegates with relevant products that will support them in the everyday running of their property.
What is your take on the current landscape of the hospitality industry and what future trends do you anticipate to see in 2017?
Hospitality professionals must be in tune with consumer trends in order to remain relevant in a market that is brimming with new options. The most discerning hoteliers are aware of new trends and normally add their own twist of creativity to what is happening on the global stage. As suppliers we need to try and stay ahead of the curve and anticipate requirements by working with our international partners on new and on trend products.
Why do you believe it is important for industry events such as the Executive Housekeepers Conference?
Sharing knowledge and experiences is key to a successful business and events such as these allow housekeepers to join their colleagues and peers to discuss relevant industry expertise.
What product innovations do you look forward to sharing with the delegates?
As we are conscious of market trends our uniforms by Ronai catalogue continues to develop, we look forward to showcasing out new designs and fabrics with the delegates.
