Halal chicken and frozen foods specialist, Al Islami Foods will host a ‘Kitchen on Ice’ programme on 3 June at Dubai Ice Rink in Dubai Mall.
The day-long event, with the theme ‘In Ramadan we share and care’, is aimed at raising awareness around healthy eating habits for the month of Ramadan.
Cooking demonstrations, competitions, children’s cooking classes and arts and crafts and a food tasting hub will take place at the event.
Chefs from School of Culinary and Finishing Arts (SCAFA) and a nutritionist will also be on-site to offer advice to the public.
A talk will also be given by a resource speaker covering frozen food storing tips.
Brent Pearson, CFO, Al Islami Foods commented: “The Holy Month of Ramadan is not only a time meant for meditation and prayer but also a great time for families and friends to come together for Iftar—enjoying great food and the company of people who are closest to you.
“With this in mind, we have organised the ‘Kitchen on Ice’ programme to encourage everyone to practice healthy eating habits during Ramadan.
“The event is expected to teach healthy, new and creative recipes that can be served during evening meals while also taking part in other activities that we have lined up for the day. This initiative reflects our aims of promoting a healthier Ramadan and our commitment of sharing and caring.”
Al Islami Foods’ ‘Kitchen on Ice’ programme is being held in partnership with SCAFA Dubai.
