Anantara The Palm, Dubai has introduced electric vehicle charging stations at the hotel.
The latest Eco-friendly initiative is complimentary to all guests and the electric charging stations have been installed at the resort for easy access in a secure location at the entryway. The chargers are able to simultaneously charge two cars, with a full battery requiring four to six hours to charge. Once charged, vehicles can travel anywhere between 120 to 400 kilometers before needing to be recharged.
“Electric vehicles are increasingly popular among our environmentally conscious guests,” says Jean-Francois Laurent, general manager. “The convenience and accessibility of our new electric vehicle charging stations is simply an extension of our service culture and is part of the government’s smart, clean city drive initiative launched by Dubai Municipality.”
Catering to guests who own electric cars is the latest in a string of green initiatives for the hotel and its sustainability policy including water and energy conversion, waste management and quality assurance.
