New cocktail bar Gold on 27 is set to open on 8 April on the highest floor of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.
The venue offers views over Dubai’s skyline with art deco design, textured gold coloured walls and resident DJ Darko De Jan entertaining guests with deep house.
The concept of the venue is to provide “an exclusive experience for the world’s social and creative elite without any pretense”, according to a press statement from the hotel.
Cocktails will be crafted using premium brands, with cocktail expert and bar general manager Paul Bradley – who has Jason Atherton’s Marina Social, Singapore’s The Library Bar and Mint Leaf of London on his CV – heading up the mixology team.
Bradley commented: “Our team of expert mixologists has put a huge amount of thought into the menu and we will consistently be pushing the boundaries with ingredients, flavours and theatre to bring the menu to life.
“The combination of the venue’s stylish interior design, exhilarating views, attentive and highly personalised service, as well as music from legendary DJ Darko De Jan, makes Gold On 27 a true destination of distinction, as well as a defining social experience.”
Some of the more creative cocktails include Light Sweet Crude (using foie gras and blackened truffle oil), Scent of the Souk (with oud oil, rosemary and spices) and A Ghaaf, a Goat and a Camel (using goat cheese foam).
Anthony McHale, general manager, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, said: “This venue has been 18 months in the making from concept to completion and represents an incomparable addition to Dubai’s nightlife.
“We have an excellent team on board, dedicated to giving guests a remarkable experience. The service levels and hospitality at Gold On 27 will be second to none.
“Paul and his team’s mixology skills and creativity with ingredients are ahead of the times and their ability to combine unique flavours are unmatchable.”
Dubai residents and visitors will be able to make bookings for Gold On 27 through an app, available on both Android and IOS.
The booking is then activated upon arrival at the entrance to the hotel, allowing access to the property and the bar on the 27th floor.
With individual and booth arrangements, the bar can also be sectioned off to accommodate private events.
Gold On 27 will be open daily from 6pm – 1am from 8 April.
