With a vast product offering, Michele Fontana, general manager, Caddie Hotel, reveals some of the company’s top trolley sellers for the housekeeping and front office departments available at The Hotel Show 2016.
How many years have you been exhibiting at The Hotel Show?
Caddie Hotel equipment has been on display at the Dubai Hotel Show 10 times over the last 12 years, either on our own stand or with one of our local partners.
Can you tell us a little more about the products Caddie Hotel offers to the hospitality industry?
Caddie Hotel is a provider of housekeeping and front office mobile equipment for hotels. While we provide elegant, smart and functional solutions for the front office, conference areas, F&B, back of house and kitchen, our core market consists of rolling equipment for the room floor, such as the housekeeping department, room attendants, laundry collection/dispatch trolleys and minibar restocking trolleys.
Can you tell us about the Caddie range of products for the housekeeping department?
Caddie Hotel features the industry’s widest range of trolleys for the housekeeping department with a vast four-fold offering designed for four hotel types: Business hotels, city centre hotels, palaces and resorts. Each trolley can be fitted with very specific options in order to comply fully with the housekeeper’s expectations in terms of function and usability.
Can you list three key features of Caddie Housekeeping products?
On top of the excellent functionality, Caddie Hotel equipment stands out with its silent progress, engineered premises protection and studied ergonomics.
How do these key features enhance productivity for housekeepers?
Our best seller – TAHITI L offers the capacity to cover up to 16 rooms. We have selected very specific materials for the structure and wheels to combine durability, elegance and a lightweight feel. The room associate can easily drive it swiftly through the room floor. The wide range of accessories and options will add on extra functionality and make the work as efficient as it comes.
With our LOTUS M, we’ve kept efficiency in mind with our unique concept of linen satellite, which enables room attendants to collect a previously unachieved amount of soiled linen in an ergonomic and professional manner.
What Caddie products will you be showcasing at this year’s Hotel Show?
We will be showcasing our best-selling room attendant trolleys: TAHITI, LOTUS and GEORGE, our fantastic TRANSBAG ONE in brushed stainless steel as well as other equipment which we invite you to come and check out on site!
Will Caddie be making any announcements or new launches at the show?
We will be extending the satellite option onto our fully wooden room attendant trolley line GEORGE, plus we will be showing our CARTLESS, in-room operation trolley.
How does Caddie remain competitive in the industry against other suppliers?
Our strategy remains to stay as close as possible to our clients. We do not believe in remote manufacturing, we believe in listening, observing to eventually become a better supplier and solution provider. Additionally, the Caddie Hotel team is 100% focused on hotel equipment. This is all we do, but we intend to be the very best at it.
What are some of the driving trends being seen in your sector?
Motorised trolleys are surely becoming more and more popular, but at the same time smaller in-room operation trolleys (the fantasy of invisible housekeeping) as well as fully integrated trolleys are in trend. The conclusion we can draw from this, is that our clients become sharper and more demanding for specific solutions. The ‘one-solution-fits-all all’ ideology has come to an end!
