Fine-dining Catalonian / Mediterranean restaurant, LaLuz, has opened at Four Seasons DIFC, Dubai.
The restaurant is a concept by Barcelona restaurant group, Grupo Tragaluz, and marks the company’s first venture in the Middle East.
Rosa Maria Esteva and Tomas Taruella, the mother and son team behind the group, are known for original outlets serving creative cuisine.
With a Catalonian and Mediterranean menu, the restaurant has a lounge, bar, dining space and terrace.
Heading up the culinary team is Barcelona-born executive chef Alain Devahive, who has worked at a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain and France.
Among these are three Michelin-starred elBulli restaurant in Catalonia and its behind-the-scenes research lab, elBullitaller. The restaurant is famous for its experimental cuisine.
Pep Miro, director of operations of LaLuz commented: “LaLuz brings a unique look at fine dining and hospitality with a highly creative menu combined with an inviting ambience and distinctive surroundings.
“While Dubai boasts a number of gastronomic highlights, we believe that we bring a new dimension in fine dining and entertainment in the international city of the Middle East.”
The outlet is open for lunch and dinner and closes at 3am.
