Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will star in a new series by National Geographic which follows the 16 Michelin-star recipient’s culinary journey across the globe.
In Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, the chef is on a mission to immerse himself in new cultures, dishes and flavours native to each destination from Peru, Laos and Morocco to Hawaii, Alaska and New Zealand.
“We’re delighted to bring Gordon Ramsay’s new series to Middle Eastern audiences. At National Geographic, we’ve been using our media platforms to explore the world’s cultures for over 130 years, a mission we see echoed throughout Gordon Ramsay: Unchartered,” says Sanjay Raina, senior vice president and general manager, FOX Networks Group.
“In National Geographic’s trademark style, the new series effortlessly blends high entertainment with factual-based knowledge, satiating audiences’ universal curiosity to learn about the world the world around us,” he adds.
Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted follows Ramsay around the globe as he uses the local ingredients he harvests and dishes he tastes to inspire a new recipe from scratch, created to represent the heart of that culture. Each episode concludes with the chef challenging himself with a local food legend by his side – putting his newfound skills to the test as they cook a feast together for the locals.
“It has been an amazing journey travelling off the beaten path with National Geographic and connecting with locals to learn and share incredible stories of unique traditions, delicacies and the extreme lengths it takes to harvest native ingredients,” says Ramsay. “I’ve learned way more filming this series than I have in the last 10 years.”
