Hilton Abu Dhabi has appointed Francisco Giles as the new general manager at the 327-room property.
Giles brings with him over 30 years of industry experience spanning across five continents, in his former role at the Park Rotana Complex in Abu Dhabi, he was responsible for over 700 guest rooms and apartments. Giles has also held general manager positions with Marriott International.
His experience is reinforced with a strong hotelier educational background with an Honoury Degree from Les Roches Hotel School in Switzerland, and further studies at Cornell University in the USA.
Commenting on his new appointment, Giles, said: “I am extremely excited to have the opportunity of leading this iconic Abu Dhabi hotel. I look forward to working with the team to enhance our many great restaurants and bars and the popular Hiltonia Beach Club. The legacy of Hilton Abu Dhabi is
undisputed, and I’m honoured to be trusted in bringing this established hotel to the next
level.”
The so-called ‘grand dame’ of Abu Dhabi, Hilton Abu Dhabi is seen as somewhat of a landmark by local residents, and by constantly evolving and looking at ways to improve their offering, the hotel remains a sought after destinations for business and social gatherings in the capital.
A dual national of the UK and Australia, Giles has a nine year old son and his greatest
passion is golf.
Located on the Corniche, Hilton Abu Dhabi has 327 rooms overlooking the Arabian Gulf and
the city skyline, as well as 12 restaurants and bars including the award-winning Bocca and
Vasco’s restaurants and Jazz Bar and Dining. Hiltonia Beach Club offers 11,000 sqm of
white sand, three pools, kids waterslide, water sports centre and a fully equipped
health club with personal training and group exercise classes. The hotel caters for
conventions, social gatherings and weddings for up to 2,000 people in 14 indoor and outdoor
