Fifteen-year-old Dubai homegrown concept, Lime Tree Café, has added a gluten-free bakery to its three Dubai outlets.
A selection of cakes, slices, muffins, cookies, artisan crackers, gluten-free breads and desserts will be available.
Gluten-free desserts include triple-layer tiramisu, chocolate goddess and wild berry and citrus cakes, as well as the well-known Lime Tree carrot cake.
The launch of Lime Tree Café’s gluten-free bakery was inspired by its owner, Corinne Bowker, who is a Coeliac sufferer.
Bowker commented: “When dining out with friends and family, it is often difficult to find a menu with more than one gluten-free option on it. We have always wanted to be a café destination that caters for everyone in the community regardless of likes, dislikes and allergies.
“Expanding our menu to include our new gluten-free range from the gluten-free bakery is in line with that vision. We don’t want our gluten intolerant customers to miss out – especially on cakes and the yummy stuff!”
The gluten-free range will be available for pre-order and pick-up from Lime Tree’s Cafés from Wednesday 25 May 2016.
To celebrate the launch Lime Tree Café’s outlet on Sheikh Zayed Road will have a pop-up gluten-free bakery from 25 – 28 May showcasing the new range.
All products and ingredients used in the new range are gluten-free certified and prepared by Lime Tree Café’s chefs.
