Nando’s, the renowned, South African, multinational, fast-casual chain known for its flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Dubai Autism Center in a special initiative aimed at boosting autism awareness during the holy month of Ramadan.
As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, Nando’s has partnered with the Dubai Autism Center to launch a unique collaboration that will raise funds and awareness for autism support programs. This collaboration will see the introduction of specially-designed, Ramadan-themed tote bags created by Abdulla Lutfi, a talented Emirati artist who also happens to be on the autism spectrum.
These exclusive tote bags, adorned with Abdulla Lutfi’s captivating designs, will be available for purchase at all Nando’s outlets across the UAE during Ramadan as well as on Talabat. Every dirham raised from the sale of these unique pieces will be donated to the Dubai Autism Center, directly supporting their impactful programs and initiatives.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with the Dubai Autism Center for this special collaboration,” said Hasna Namnoum, Marketing Manager at Nando’s UAE. “At Nando’s, we believe in using our platform to support important causes, and this partnership allows us to raise awareness and support autism initiatives in the UAE during Ramadan. It is particularly meaningful as the UAE places great importance on supporting individuals with autism, and we are honored to contribute to these efforts during this sacred month.”
Joyce Chamoun, Business Development Manager at the Dubai Autism Center (DAC) expressed, “I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Nando’s UAE for their dedicated support towards our center’s services, which underscores their profound humanitarian ethos. Their unwavering commitment to assisting children with autism reflects their remarkable contributions to social responsibility and their enduring dedication to humanitarian causes in the UAE.”
The Dubai Autism Center (DAC) was established in 2001 by a decree of the Ruler of Dubai as the first Emirati non-profit organization in UAE that aims to provide integrated consulting, educational, and specialized therapeutic services in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurological and developmental disorder that begins early in childhood and lasts throughout a person’s life. ASD can cause significant social, communication, and behavioural challenges. According to recent studies, one in 44 children is affected by ASD.
