Rixos The Palm, Dubai, and Rixos Bab Al Bahr, Ras Al Khaimah, have become the first hotels in the UAE to launch virtual tours in partnership with Google. Otherwise known as ‘Google Street View’ guests can take an in depth look across the entire resort, as if they were standing there in real time.
Committed to providing a memorable holiday experience to each guest, the new initiative serves as a tool to assist potential guests in the planning stage of their vacation. Now they are able to take a look across the entire resort and make an informed choice about the hotel they choose, the room they stay in, the restaurants they dine in and even the sun loungers they want to relax on.
When users of Google type the name of the hotel into the search engine, they can simply click on the photographs on the right hand information box and ‘enter ’ the resort – clicking through to the areas they want to explore and navigating the resorts at their leisure.
Alexander Schneider, general manager of Rixos The Palm said: “We are really pleased to have this tool in place and feel that this will revolutionise the hotel booking process, As the first in the country to roll this out, we are setting a standard of pre-arrival experience which we are confident the rest of the industry will aspire.”
In addition, the hotel is now bookable through Google, making it easier for browsers to make a room booking almost instantaneously.
