Doxis Bekris, who first joined FRHI Hotels & Resorts in 2010 as corporate F&B/ culinary director of the Swissôtel brand, has been appointed executive chef at Raffles Dubai.
The Greek national brings 20 years of experience to his new role, having worked at brands including Kempinski Hotels & Resorts, Emaar Hospitality, and in various roles with FRHI Hotels & Resorts.

Most recently, Bekris held the position of group executive chef for three FRHI properties in Kenya: Fairmont Mara Safari Club, Fairmont Mount Kenya and Fairmont The Norfolk.
Prior to this, he was executive chef at The Address Dubai Mall and before that, executive chef at Kempinski Mall of the Emirates.
Bekris has also co-authored several cookbooks including ‘Famously Mediterranean’.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and licensed retail management from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom.
Commenting on his new position, Bekris said: “I’m thrilled to join Raffles Dubai and to be representing a brand I feel passionate about. This is a very exciting time for the property as it continues to gain ground both locally and internationally.”
Raffles Dubai has eight F&B outlets, including homegrown Italian concept, Solo Bistronomia & Vino Bar and the recently refurbished Raffles Garden, which has 12 open-air cabanas surrounded by greenery.
