Nando’s has opened its biggest outlet in the world in Riyadh.
Located on Thalia Street in the heart of Riyadh, the flagship location serves the brand’s signature Afro-Portuguese menu with flame-grilled chicken and a variety of sides.
Richard Barclay, COO Foodmark said: “With the peri-peri flavor so loved by our Saudi Arabian customers, it was only fitting the all-new Nando’s Tahlia Street, Riyadh open in the kingdom as not only the biggest in the region, but the largest Nando’s casa ever built in the world.
“Our entry into the Saudi Arabian market in 2016 has been our greatest success to date in the 30 years of Nando’s brand history, and we look forward to continuing to lead the way in Afro-Portuguese style flame-grilled peri-peri chicken with our biggest and best flagship restaurant yet.”
The new 818m2 venue has more than 90 staff, and seats 302 diners. Decorated with 50 works of art, the restaurant has a dedicated family area on the upper level, with the main dining area downstairs offering an open, social experience.
Nando’s was first introduced to Saudi Arabia in 2016 with the Rubeen Plaza casa, which was recognised as the most successful market entry in 30 years of the brand’s history.
The restaurant chain is looking to expand its footprint throughout the kingdom.
“The brand is excited to be extending its hospitality, and plans to expand further in the near future. We look forward to bringing peri-peri to the people, growing our loyal fan base and providing a casa fit for the kingdom with the introduction of Tahlia Street, Riyadh,” added Barclay.
The Nando’s menu offers various options from flame-grilled peri-peri chicken to salads, burgers, wraps, desserts and bottomless soft drinks.
Established in 1987 in Johannesburg, South Africa, Nando’s has since expanded worldwide to over 23 countries across five continents.
