Lebanese restaurant Em Sherif has reopened in Address Downtown Dubai, just four weeks after a major fire broke out at the 63-storey hotel next to Burj Khalifa.
The hotel was closed indefinitely following the New Year’s Eve blaze, which caused extensive damage to the property, and injured 14 people.
Mazen El Zein, chief executive officer of hospitality consultantcy The Crystal Group, which manages the Em Sherif franchise, has called the one-month closure “a small bump in the road”.
“We have been receiving numerous inquiries from our loyal guests who have become accustomed to the fine dining experience Em Sherif is synonymous for. Our team is excited and looking forward to welcoming friends and families alike,” a statement said.
The hotel remains closed until further notice.
