Satine Restaurant and Lounge by Nikki Beach is set to launch in Dubai .
Located on level one of Nikki Beach Dubai’s beach club, the dining and lounge combination is set in a contemporary environment with a large outdoor terrace facing the Persian Gulf, boasting views of both the sea and city skyline.
Satine, which was first introduced by Nikki Beach in Miami, Florida, will be headlined by executive chef Udo Moreau, who brings with him an extensive Michelin-star background. Chef Moreau’s cooking style is straightforward and light, with a focus on showcasing products in a simple and clean approach. For the past six years, chef Moreau headed up the iconic Michelin-starred Frederic Simonin restaurant in Paris before joining Satine.
Satine’s mission is to “excite the senses through a combination of great food and music, spectacular cocktails, live entertainment and an effervescent ambiance.”
Jack Penrod, founder and owner of Nikki Beach Worldwide, said: “We are thrilled to be launching Satine Restaurant & Lounge at Nikki Beach Dubai. It is fitting that Dubai, a city known for its energy and innate style, should be home to the Satine concept. In Satine, we have created a stimulating environment where people can meet and connect through their shared love of excellent food and music.”
Satine was named after the main character of the hit movie Moulin Rouge, who was known as the “sparkling diamond” due to her elegant style and unique personality.
Satine offers signature dishes include the Lobster Club, which is poached lobster layered with beefsteak tomatoes and squid ink crisp; and the sharing dessert “Spectacular Spectacular,” playfully referencing the show in Moulin Rouge in which Satine was the star.
